From May 15 to 18, the 30th Puces du Design will be held at Bercy Village in the 12th arrondissement of Paris. For the past 15 years, the Puces du Design has been showcasing the best of 20th-century design. An open-air, free-access event not to be missed.

At the time of its creation, the idea was totally new and original. In 1999, Fabien Bonillo organized a flea market in Paris for antique design dealers. It was the 1st European market dedicated to post-war furniture. The public was immediately won over and curious to discover the designers of the past. Fabien Bonillo is passionate about photography and design. He is also a publisher of objects, lighting and furniture under the La Corbeille Editions label. Les Puces du Design is Fabien Bonillo’s way of sharing his passion for this exceptional furniture.

It’s the only event dedicated to design on this scale: 100 participants, 40% of whom are European gallery owners. It’s both a high-quality specialized market for professionals and a time for relaxation and discovery for the general public. The latter can familiarize themselves with forms and styles from the 50s to 2000.

In addition to being an exceptional gathering of antique dealers specializing in 20th century fashion and furniture, each edition of the Puces du Design is accompanied by an event and retrospectives of the history of design, featuring little-known designers. This year it’s Andrea Branzi’s turn. An exceptional exhibition in collaboration with Italian gallery owner Gian-Marco Volpi. The exhibition presents the last 15 years of Andrea Branzi’s work. A global and poetic vision of design. Andrea Branzi is a leading Italian designer who creates objects for top names such as Zanotta, Alessi and Cassina. Somewhere between architecture and object creation, Andrea Branzi has an eye for detail. He combines shapes, materials and functions to create universal creations.

Design focuses on aspects of life and touches each and every one of us. This international exhibition also hides many surprises, which we’ll let you discover next May! A sneak preview on the Puces du Design website: http://www.pucesdudesign.com/
