The Hôtel du Panthéon, located opposite the Place des Grands Hommes (Patrick, you’ll love this!) in the Latin Quarter, has been given a makeover by talented architect Valérie Manoil.

Each floor of the hotel has been dedicated to a woman who has left her mark on history, which is an excellent idea given that we’re opposite the Pantheon, which is dedicated to men. On 6 floors, you’ll enjoy discovering the worlds of : Marguerite Duras, Valtesse de la Bigne and the Cocottes, Edith Piaf, George Sand and Juliette Greco.

From floor to ceiling, it’s clear that nothing has been left to chance, but that she has taken care to think of everything so that each element is in perfect harmony with the woman and the style of the period it represents.

I was greeted at the hotel by a friendly, bubbly young woman who allowed me to sleep on the Cocottes floor, my favorite, with its chic boudoir, cabaret and glamorous atmosphere.

The decor on the Cocottes floor reminded me of the film Moulin Rouge.

I highly recommend the Hôtel Panthéon if you want to take a little trip out of time. The staff are truly adorable, the rooms comfortable and original – in short, this hotel is a little marvel.
