Christmas is approaching and the various Parisian districts are full of small wooden chalets forming mini Christmas markets supplying tourists and Parisians with sausages, pâtés, handmade jewelry and various hand-knitted wool sweaters. And let’s not forget the big winner in these cold weather conditions: the little glass of mulled wine! Even the Champs-Elysées has its own little Christmas village.
A small collective of contemporary artists has launched a call for a free, clandestine fair, a small art market where artists of all kinds (singer, sculptor, designer, painter, architect, dancer …) will be able to express themselves and sell their works. A new style of Christmas market without chalets but with artists and works in Paris, which is still culturally present throughout the world.
Artistic Paris is reborn from its ashes, art centers such as 104 (even if it is currently in danger) and 59 Rivoli have been able to open thanks to passionate people who fight with politicians (Bertrand Delanoë) to establish a new vision of creation. But Paris must not sleep on its status and continue to promote these artists from around the world.
From this initiative will perhaps be born a day of art, a movement and an influx of creative minds, a reborn cultural freedom, at least they hope so.
