Hendrick’s lunar, inspired by celestial light A gin of curious savoir-faire At the heart of Scotland’s Gin Palace lies a locked cabinet in which Mrs Lesley Gracie, Hendrick’s renowned master distiller, keeps her most experimental liquids. Most of these botanical elixirs come from plants grown in her own greenhouses at the distillery, some have been discovered on her travels around the globe and others have been given to her by guests visiting the Gin Palace. Once a year, one of his creations is released from the cabinet to be distilled, bottled and shared with the world. Each new expression thus replaces the previous variant, continually surprising and delighting Hendrick’s fans. The first edition of this Cabinet des Curiosités, Hendrick’s Midsummer Solstice, was deeply floral, inspired by the brightest flowers of the summer solstice. This year, Ms. Gracie unveils Hendrick’s Lunar Gin, the second limited edition of Cabinet des Curiosités, in a deep blue bottle reflecting the night sky.

Hendrick’s Lunar Gin is the brainchild of Mrs. Gracie, whose habit is to tend to her flourishing botanical collection under the influence of celestial light. So, one moonlit evening, while tending her beloved greenhouse in the heart of the Gin Palace, she was inspired to create this rich gin with warm notes. Hendrick’s thus revisits its traditional recipe and presents its new expression Hendrick’s Lunar Gin. This new limited edition, handcrafted in secret, unveils a timeless universe available only during a lunar year (12 months).
A gin with a curious savoir-faire
Unique in its category, Hendrick’s Lunar Gin offers a new way of appreciating gin and expressing temporality. Naturally, the iconic Hendrick’s signature cucumber and rose flavour is enhanced by a combination of citrus fruits and spices, meticulously selected from the four corners of the globe, to create a gin with character and perfectly balanced notes.
