For the first time, YellowKorner is taking part in the Rencontres d’Arles, the unmissable international photography event taking place from July 6 to September 20, 2015. A more than legitimate involvement for YellowKorner, whose dual vocation is to reveal and showcase new talent, and to make photography accessible to as many people as possible.

The first photography festival open to the general public, the Rencontres de la Photographie d’Arles is a major event for all photography enthusiasts and professionals. The festival offers a unique photographic journey with over 35 exhibitions, in the heart of a prestigious historical heritage. Every summer, this international event welcomes almost 100,000 visitors, and offers an exceptional program of artists and curators from all horizons.

As part of the Rencontres, YellowKorner is particularly associated with the Photo Folio Review. The Photo Folio Review reveals unknown artists, highlights their work and supports them in their future projects.

Launched in 2006, the Photo Folio Review is aimed at professional photographers, photography school students and amateur photographers alike. Open by registration, it offers them the opportunity for individual, privileged exchanges with international experts from the world of photography.

At the end of the session, the jury will select five winning portfolios, one of which will be offered the chance to be exhibited at Rencontres d’Arles the following year. Thanks to YellowKorner’s contribution, the artists will see their visibility increased tenfold through three hitherto unseen axes:

– The prize-winner will be offered the chance to join the catalog of photographers already promoted by YellowKorner, and see his or her work exhibited in its network of 90 galleries.

– The work of the five winners will be published in a handsome book co-published by YellowKorner and Les Rencontres d’Arles.

– To extend the springboard effect of the Photo Folio Review, Yellowkorner plans to continue the event in its new gallery within La Hune during Paris Photo. Finally, YellowKorner and Les Rencontres d’Arles are organizing the closing party of the professional week: rendez-vous on Saturday, July 11, 2015 from 11 pm.
