A few weeks ago, we went to see Ma belle mère, mon ex et moi, a pleasant play featuring Frank Leboeuf’s theatrical debut as Julien.
Female conquests, money, fame, everything is going well for Julien… Until the day Solange, his ruined ex-mother-in-law, comes back into his life with a diabolical plan: to extort money from the man who was her daughter Zoé’s husband for 10 years.
A few “intimate” photos, taken without his knowledge, could well jeopardize the ideal son-in-law’s career as a star presenter… And Yoann, the latter’s blundering secretary, could well be the ideal instrument to achieve her ends…
But the unworthy mother-in-law will have to face a number of reversals of fortune. And the arrival of her daughter Zoé, determined to win Julien back, will upset her plans…
We laugh heartily at this classic but heartfelt vaudeville.
