Sparkling, the Summer 2022 collection honors nature, its luminous colors and innate elegance. This sophisticated, cutting-edge collection is based on natural materials such as straw, recycled cottons and linen, which is known to adapt to the body’s shape and become more beautiful over time. A true invitation to travel and laze under the dazzling sun, this collection features straw models as casual as they are daring, illustrating the House’s exceptional savoir-faire.
A Safari Chic spirit emanates from straw hats in deep, natural hues like bronze and khaki. Leopard silk chiffon, tortoiseshell resin chinstraps and moiré ribbons with savannah reflections are subtle references to Africa’s majestic fauna.
Casual yet elegant, straws adorned with turquoise tie-and-dye ribbons, ethnic pearl tassels or bleached driftwood make us dream of the paradisiacal beaches of the Caribbean.
Finally, more urban, with touches of vitamin-rich color, hats and head accessories emphasize the sometimes dazzling contrasts of color and material. There’s also a summer tweed, and a pale pink terry cloth developed especially for Maison Michel from bamboo fiber.
This season is also one of celebration, with the launch of the wedding line, a new permanent collection of ceremonial hats and head accessories, which will be presented with each summer collection and expanded from year to year.
