The purity of the garment was followed by its opposite, with an abundance of brocades, lace, embroidery, pearls and other embellishments. The Lanvin woman assumes her wrinkles and sensuality and follows no diktats. Creative director Alber Elbaz also delved into the archives, creatively celebrating the house’s 125th anniversary with historic prints and numerous references to its DNA, such as pearls, black, white and gold… Last but not least, the show ends with a multitude of extremely complex little dresses. Here, women are sure to find something to suit them ….
