During Paris Fashion Week, Luxsure was invited to discover A La Russe, the work of Anastasia Romantsova. The pre-collection and Fall-Winter 2014-2015 collection were exhibited in a typically Parisian apartment.
With its imperial inspiration, the A La Russe pre-collection is very patriotic; in the colors of the Russian flag, the dresses have a marked waist and wear the sashes of the tsars and empresses of yesteryear. This highly colorful pre-collection also includes Slavic prints, which are both shimmering and original. The designer’s tribute to her country’s history is a real favorite.
The jewelry is also a tribute to Russia: royal golden crowns, rhinestone brooches worthy of those worn by empresses…
The Fall-Winter 2014-2015 collection, meanwhile, is inspired by the Russian ballerina; an enhanced waistline, more fluid, wispy fabrics mingle with transparency and prints. Colors are softer, pastels, reminiscent of the perfect prima ballerina’s wardrobe. Dresses are much longer, elongating the silhouette and bringing elegance and simplicity.
