The new face of Parisian fashion

ptolemyOn March 1, Fahaid Sanober presented his new collection entitled “Kleopatra”.

The young designer made a striking entrance at Paris Fashion Week. At just twenty years of age, he showed maturity and determination by taking on the big names in fashion.

In 2005, the then 11-year-old marveled at a Dior fashion show, and the House’s artistic creation inspired him to make a career out of it. Three years later, he unveiled his first collection to the general public, but it was in 2012 with the “Queen Baker” collection that the artist was revealed to the fashion world, which welcomed him enthusiastically.

It’s 2pm on Saturday March 1st when the doors of the Hotel Mac Mahon Champs Elysées close to make way for Fahaid Sanober’s show. The music gushes out, transporting us to the Egyptian pyramids of Cleopatra’s time.

Escorted by an ancient Egyptian servant with bulging muscles, the first model wears the Anubis gown, a halter top in satin voile embellished with Swaroski rhinestones, a turquoise and metallic-gray satin gorgerin combined with a black silk velvet pencil skirt, the silhouette is feminine, sexy yet elegant and powerful. The tone is set: the Fahaid Sanober woman is strong and powerful, like the queen-muse Cleopatra.

One dress followed another, as the models (always escorted by a servant in slave garb) paraded by.
Body in embossed velvet, covered with a black satin veil (Ptolemy); Ivory fur sweater with light blue satin cuffs (Sceptre); Ivory and peacock winter shorts adorned with round draped collars is imposing, reminiscent of ancient Egyptian fashion. The Osiris dress concludes the catwalk, a long dress in electric-blue satin with a mid-front slit and black velvet cuffs, offering power, fluidity of movement and strong character to the feminine body.

The Fall Winter 2014-2015 collection puts color in the spotlight, using satin as a light reflector.
Full of Pep’s and dynamism, Fahaid Sanober’s collection sublimates the woman’s body.
