Refinement and rebellion are the core values of Redemption. The celebration of a fierce feminine individuality always includes an idea of harmony almost reserved in its sophistication. The tension of these extremes creates an unexpected but resolute modernity. This season’s collection is consumed by an idea of grungy insouciance contrasting with decidedly grandiose visions. The large skirts, sculpted corsets, and bows traditionally associated with an idea of prim femininity are treated in an irreverent manner: cut to create asymmetries, counterbalanced by traditionally masculine motifs such as checks and houndstooth, and disrupted by an overall impression of sloppy spontaneity. Outerwear is voluminous: printed faux fur coats with round backs wrap the silhouette, further enhancing the contrast. There is a crafty feel to the unstructured t-shirts and unexpected clothing combinations. Jumpsuits, overalls and parachute pants are leaving the field of workwear to be subjected to a subtle makeover. The refinement and Italian craftsmanship that characterize Redemption permeate the range of luxurious fabrics in shimmering colors: silk, cady, tweeds and leathers offer an intense palette of purples and dark reds, plain or interspersed with animal or masculine motifs, and metallic streaks. Shapes and textures are freely mixed, highlighting the personality of the woman according to Redemption: confident and always dressed with the irreverence of a casual outfit; always elegant but in a rebellious way.
