The candlelight evenings at the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte have officially begun. They will take place every Saturday until October 1, 2016, in the heart of this 17th century monument.
An evening of candlelight
This season again, the two thousand candles are lit in the large halls and gardens of the castle, for enchanting summer Saturday evenings. A unique experience that is part of a tradition, that of Vaux-le-Vicomte, one of the first castles to offer visitors intimate, romantic and magical evenings by candlelight.
Great novelty: the shows
While enjoying macaroons and a glass of champagne, attend two shows by the company Quidams: Bilboquets and FierS à cheval. In perfect harmony with the luminous universe of the domain, the actors transport us in a stroll where sounds and lights merge. “We think of our creations as an invitation to dream, to give free rein to one’s imagination”, explains the director Jean-Baptiste Duperray. A pleasure for the eyes, but also for the taste, with refined menus concocted by the restaurants Les Charmilles and Relais de l’Ecureu.
