Ed banger 10 ans

So Me, the artistic director of the Ed Banger label (Justice, Breakbot, Mr Oizo…) founded in 2003 by Busy P, drew on his photographic resources to celebrate the label’s 10th anniversary in style. And what better way to celebrate than with a photo album? 1.7 kilos, 270 pages of never-before-seen photos entitled “Travail, famille, party”, dedicated to the memory of Dj Medhi and prefaced by Jean-Baptiste Mondino, Pedro Winter and So Me himself. A true jack-of-all-trades, graphic designer, photographer, director and more, So Me is behind all Ed Banger’s visual creations, as well as clips for Jay-Z, Kanye West and Kid Cudi, to name but a few. With Romain Gavras, he directed A cross the universe, a documentary on the duo Justice, and also created Mouloud Achour’s set for Canal+’s Grand Journal. This time around, So Me wanted to put down on paper, on a hard surface, memories, moments of life, milestones, retracing the work of all these artists. Above all, we wanted to pay tribute to the label by bringing back to life the best moments in its history. A label that changed his life, and one that continues to make a name for itself.

“Travail, Famille, Party” is on sale exclusively at Colette and Monsieur Marcel.fr for 49€.
