Jil Sander Milan Fashion Week A/W 2013/14 Beauty report

There’s something pure, minimalist about the “Jil Sander girl”: ultra-wet roots, a long, low ponytail with a lock around the elastic, this part low on dry hair to create contrast. For the wet effect to last, you need to apply it to every strand you want to work on, right from the roots. If you simply apply the gel to the top, the effect quickly fades and the idea of contrast is lost. Make-up remains very sober, not to say non-existent.

“Finally, if you look at the look, it’s simple, reduced to a minimum, and perfectly reflects the identity of the Jil Sander girl.” Guido Paulo, fashion show hairstylist
