Luis Buchinho 13/14 from Neutral Reporter on Vimeo.
On April 25, 1974, insurrection broke out in Portugal: the “Carnation Revolution”, a political uprising symbolized by a red carnation slipped into the barrel of a rifle.
For this winter 13/14, Luis Buchinho proposes a collection on the theme of identity, and in particular the strong identity of the Portuguese revolution. With red and black as a reminder of violence, this collection is provocative and modern, with its use of asymmetrical details and the geometric constructions so dear to Luis Buchinho. Marked shoulders give a retro/modern look. The materials used are varied, including skin, tweed and felted wool.
