SNEAKERS OR STILETTOS ON A PLANE?
BRITISH AIRWAYS REVEALS TRAVELERS’ FASHION HABITS
Choosing your outfit before taking to the skies can be a daunting task for fashionistas, and one that can end in fashionista capitulation! British Airways has conducted a survey* of travelers and revealed some surprising trends!
The French by plane: combining comfort and style
While 97% of French people prefer comfortable but stylish clothes for their flight, Russians see things in a different light. In fact, 30% of Russians seek above all to impress and seduce other travelers by adorning themselves in their finest finery when flying. Furthermore, while three quarters of French women opt for the jeans-T-shirt combo, 12% of our German neighbors swear by THE designer piece. Here again, the Russians don’t beat about the bush: a quarter of them even go so far as to buy new clothes specifically for their next flight!
But travelers’ style doesn’t stop at their choice of clothes. For example, 40% of French women fly in heels. As for their hair, 20% of men (from all countries) say they pay more attention to their hairstyle when they travel, while a third of women make a special effort before taking the plane. Let’s hope the banana bun holds up during the flight…
* Online survey of 2,000 respondents from five countries, including France, who fly at least twice a year.
