American Retro and Alexander Terekhov present a capsule collection inspired by Disney’s Fantastic World of Oz.

French brand American Retro and Russian designer Alexander Terekhov have created a capsule collection inspired by the new Disney film “The Fantastic World of Oz” directed by Sam Raimi, which hits the big screen on March 13. Dresses, jackets, suits, sweaters, T-shirts and jeans make up the contemporary wardrobe inspired by the film’s breathtaking settings.

The extraordinary adventures of the main characters are perfectly reflected in the collection’s various key motifs. One of the central themes is the circus, where the future Wizard of Oz, the humble magician Oscar Diggs (James Franco), makes his debut. The collection comes in two prints: one graphic black and white, the other more shimmering with vibrant colors. Another recurring motif is that of a porcelain saucer, broken into a thousand pieces, a reference to the porcelain doll.

The film’s fantastic characters and events have inspired every piece in this fabulous collection, which we hope will catch the eye of fashion lovers,” says Laure Pariente, Creative Director of American Retro.

The capsule collection will be available from June 15 in American Retro boutiques in Russia, Europe and Asia. The official face of the project will be blogger and fashion icon Miroslava Duma.
