After six years of closure and complete renovation, the Parc Zoologique will be opening its doors to visitors on April 12 for an unprecedented experience. The only zoo in the world to have been completely rebuilt, the new park offers a journey through five biozones – Patagonia, Sahel-Sudan, Europe, Guyana and Madagascar – over 14.5 hectares and 4 kilometers of trails. With a circuit designed as a long stroll, visitors discover over 1,000 animals in their reconstituted natural environment.
Visitors are immersed in the same environment as the animals. In this mythical place, the Muséum National d’Histoire Naturelle is inventing the zoo of the 21st century: no longer a simple attraction, but a formidable tool for raising awareness of nature, a center for animal-friendly species conservation, and a place for science and research.
