For spring 2013, Akris presents the Alexa bag. Whether it’s the small, practical model, the medium-sized model ideal for busy days or the large, versatile weekend model, the Alexa bag is the ideal
partner for every day. Alexa is the first Business Bag designed by Akris.
A glance at the Alexa Bag’s structured calfskin leather will remind “connoisseurs” of the Akris signature: a mirrored A-shaped pendant inspired by the shape of the trapeze, and the brand’s signature horsehair yoke on the outside pocket.
Akris is the only Maison to use horsehair, a rare and sustainable texture, as its flagship
material for its accessories. The Alexa bag is also distinguished by the trapeze effect of its handles.
Thanks to its adjustable inner belt, the Alexa can be worn in two different ways: by tightening the belt, the bag takes on a trapezoidal shape. When the belt is opened, it transforms into a rectangular tote.
In addition to its removable, adjustable shoulder strap, Alexa has several interior pockets of different sizes with or without zippers for easy, practical access. The large outside pocket is perfect for an iPad.
The Alexa bag’s summery color palette is inspired by the colors of tropical gardens imagined by Brazilian landscape designer and painter Roberto Burle Marx: colors oscillating
between sunny, fl uo tones (inspired by the pink of orchids) and shades of aloe, ecru and caramel.
The Alexa bag will be available in all Akris boutiques, authorized retailers and on the official website www.akris.ch from February 2013.
