The Fall pre-collection focuses on men’s wardrobe essentials. Riccardo Tisci reinterprets them, infusing them with his obsessions: elaborate prints, exclusive checks, contrasting materials and sophisticated cut-outs. The collection reinforces and develops Givenchy’s signature elements for men, all influenced by iconic looks from the world of motorcycling and New York meatpackers.

The attitude is resolutely determined and the silhouette close to the body. Sharp-cut suits come in moleskin with cotton gabardine inserts. Tuxedo versions are cut from cotton velvet or wool-satin cloth. Shirt collar stays in gold metal engraved with a star and a line are inserted on the outside of the collar. The knit alternates sophisticated Irish relief with a gray diamond pattern striped with wide red stripes.

Juxtaposing several prints or assembling several materials, patchworks lend a graphic dimension to the collection. Faded denim and indigo chambray shirts oscillate between workwear and geometric bib shirts. Other shirts play on yokes of different tartans and coordinated ties. A black neoprene parka merges with a short brown nylon down jacket in a trompe l’oeil effect. A panel of diamond-patterned knit discontinues vertically a printed cotton sweatshirt.

Exclusive motifs include black and red or brown checks, a digitally “hand-painted” Doberman head and HDG – House de Givenchy print. Richlieus with gold studded soles, sneakers and gum-soled shoes come in braided leather or white calfskin covered with black lace.
