Who doesn’t know Creeks, the brand for teenagers born in the 80s? It’s a brand that’s urban, fun and uncomplicated, giving pride of place to urban cultures.
Creeks, an evocative and meaningful name
Creeks is the name of one of the 5 Native American “civilized tribes”. A name evocative of a community and original spirit. Creeks also means “river” or “stream”, evoking timelessness.
SO FREE, SO CREEKS
As part of this project, we were invited to take part in an immersive, participatory experience in the heart of the city, to experiment with “So Free, So Creeks” and make the city our playground.
A creative contest.
To give the Creeks brand new creative impetus and “So Free, So Creeks” values, the brand is also organizing a major design and styling school competition, with the aim of nurturing tomorrow’s talent through the creation of a capsule collection of 10 models for back-to-school 2013.
Each 2nd or 3rd year student from Mode’Estah and Créapole schools must propose a men’s and a women’s shoe model in line with the theme of urban activism.
Each class is supervised by a dedicated teacher, a fashion professional. These classes have a real urban footing and footwear expertise, as they take part in accessories and streetwear modules. The 10 most fashionable and original designs will be selected and presented to a jury
of fashion and footwear specialists. At the end of the final presentation, 1 student
will be awarded the Jury’s Grand Prize. Two other winners will be rewarded. The students will be able to collaborate with La Halle aux Chaussures style teams to launch the design and manufacture of their models. These will be sold in limited series, initially in a pop-up store and then in a selection of stores.
