The merino collection is the result of a historic partnership with the Woolmark
Company. For over forty years, Vivienne Westwood, with her namesake brand now
emblematic of Great Britain, has demonstrated a creativity and influence unrivalled in the history of fashion. Vivienne Westwood is renowned for her use of wool in all its forms (as well as other noble fibers) in her collections, and has always been an ardent supporter of the use of wool as a sustainable fiber in fashion design.

was recently expressed by the use of natural, renewable merino wool in her autumn-winter collections, for the Gold Label, Red Label and MAN lines.

Comprising twelve luxurious pieces for men and women, it includes the famous classic
“Intimo” cardigan, in fine 100% merino knit, buttoned and fitted to the body.
Merino wool’s ability to set color like no other fiber lends itself wonderfully to this collection’s dense autumn palette: blacks, beiges, caramel, burgundy, blues, ash green.
For the Gold Label women’s line, a knee-length dress cinched at the waist with an integrated corset and an astonishing cut-out at the collar has been sculpted in a very soft merino wool knit. The fineness of this wool also enabled us to create a light knit dress that hugs
the body while structuring the shoulders.
Naturally luxurious next to the skin, merino wool is the ideal material for everyday pieces, such as this one-piece cardigan suit.
Red Label’s line of classic knitwear for women includes long-sleeved, drop-waist cardigans, three-quarter tops with rounded collars and matching twin-set style fine knit cardigans that can be worn for any occasion.
The Vivienne Westwood MAN line features classic knit cardigans, V-neck sweaters, two-tone turtlenecks and button-down cardigans, all produced in merino wool. The longevity and ease of care of these fibers enable the creation of garments capable of lasting a lifetime.
