Habitat reinvents the Honda Jazz

Last week, we visited the Habitat boutique on Rue du Pont Neuf to discover the new Honda Jazz Habitat. It’s an opportunity to take a closer look at this new model, a compact, clever city car with a seductive “Habitat” look, the benchmark brand for designer furnishings and interiors. Only 300 units of the Honda Jazz 1.4 i-VTEC Série Spéciale Habitat will be available!
In a few words of introduction, the Honda Jazz combines a city car’s compact size with exceptionally modular interior space, modern, dynamic styling and lively, sober powertrains. The new Honda Jazz has been on sale since June 2011, and has been a resounding success on the French market, particularly in its hybrid version!
On the outside, a discreet badge on each side of the vehicle elegantly reproduces the Habitat brand logo. On the tailgate, chrome “Habitat” lettering identifies the special-series models.
Upon entering the cabin, passengers will notice the refinement of the door sills and personalized floor mats. As a final touch, customers will receive a plaid and shopping bag specially designed by the Habitat design studio, to complete a unique experience. Offered at just €200 more than the 1.4 i-VTEC Elegance version, the Honda Jazz 1.4 i-VTEC Série Spéciale Habitat starts at €15,950, a particularly attractive price for a fully-equipped car.
This Special Series will go on sale in April 2012.
To mark the launch, a free, no-obligation draw will be held at Honda dealerships to win a Habitat interior makeover, in the form of a Habitat gift voucher worth €7,000. In Habitat stores, a Habitat Honda Jazz worth €16,350 will be up for grabs.
According to Julien Cuvillier, the automaker’s Communications and Advertising Manager,
“We had the audacity to combine these two very different worlds of the automobile and furniture, and we took this concept all the way. The idea was to create a car in which you feel at home, as in a living room for example. We succeeded, and the result is surprising!
The range includes two gasoline engines [1.2 i-VTEC 90 hp and 1.4 i-VTEC 100 hp], and a gasoline-electric hybrid!
This makes the Honda Jazz Hybrid the first gasoline-electric hybrid city car, with a combined fuel consumption of just 4.5 l/100 km and CO2 emissions limited to 104 g/km.
This powertrain also enables the Jazz to run in all-electric mode under certain speed conditions, and entitles its buyers to the government’s €2,000 eco-bonus.
