Julius / Paris Fashion Week FW 2012
For this Fall/Winter 2012 season, the Julius collection, worn by the talented Tatsuko Horikawa, asserts itself in a very dark style. Leather dominates the first part of the show, in jackets, coats and 3/4-length pants. Silhouettes were emphasized by draping, layering and length, without weighing down the fluid ensemble.
The coat is worn very long, open or with a very wide collar sculpted around the neck. Boots are high and plain, and shorts are always paired with tights. Knitwear also has a special place in this [ resonance; ] collection, with extra-large collars on equally large sweaters.
We’ll remember this collection for its absolute dominance of black, occasionally brightened by a few white prints, and the skilful composition of ensembles where materials, lengths and volumes blend and harmonize.
