“MELBOURNE FOOD AND WINE FESTIVAL

A good reason to travel in March this year: the Merlbourne food festival in Australia!
From March 2 to 21, taste is in the spotlight as the city prepares to welcome flavors and gourmands from around the world. The festivities kick off with the Riverside Opening Weekend, during which 6 of the city’s venues invite you to taste and savor seafood by the water’s edge, as well as learn and share recipes while being introduced to the aromas of regional wines.
The most talented regional chefs will be sharing their cuisine at the World’s Longest Lunch on the banks of the Yarra River. As the name suggests, lunch will be served around a 500m table!
A prestigious dinner, the Stars & Legends Gala, will feature famous French chefs Thierry Marx, Serge Vieira, Jacques Marcon and Stephane Bour, among others.
Encounters are therefore at the heart of this festival, with chefs from all over the world, as well as tastings, MasterClasses and, of course, discoveries with local producers proud to share their passion.
It’s a great opportunity for the whole family to get away from it all, as the city can be visited by bike, boat or rickshaw, and workshops for youngsters will punctuate the 20-day festival.
The Australia Tours package includes a guided tour of the city, discovery of the Great Ocean Road and the Great Western Plains, and an excursion to the vineyards of the Yarra Valley.
