The discreet Swedish fashion house Acne has chosen to present its collections during menswear week rather than show them on the catwalk. A choice in keeping with the brand’s confidential image and its increasingly modern creations.
Color blocking is omnipresent at Acne, and men don’t hesitate to borrow some of the classics from women’s wardrobes to make them their own: leopard-print fur hats with matching collars, long shirts reminiscent of tunics, leather riding boots.
The color palette is surprisingly sober and elegant, while the stereo vision prints allow the addition of vivid hues.
Acne’s garments are of course cut to perfection, in a style halfway between modernity and religious asceticism. Layering because it’s a winter collection, the mix of materials is also present, notably the fur/wool or leather/wool duo.
