MANGO, the Spanish fashion brand with the widest international reach, is counting this season on the presence of young British supermodel Tali Lennox in its new November catalog.
Tali Lennox, who at the age of 18 walked the catwalk for brands such as Burberry, Christopher Kane, Miu Miu, Kenzo, Prada, Missoni, Cavalli and Marc Jacobs, is a young up-and-comer. In this new catalog, the supermodel presents looks with a rock vibe, featuring jeans, asymmetrical dresses, striped garments and leather details, with blue and black as key colors.
The shoot, directed by photographer Enric Galceran, took place in a photography studio in Barcelona. The MANGO team handled the styling, while Jordi Fontanals created the make-up and hair. Asked how you feel about being one of the stars of this autumn’s MANGO catalog, the supermodel replied: “It’s great and very moving. It’s great to work for a brand I’ve known for a very long time. It’s a bit surreal to see how you become part of a project like this, but it’s great.
In this Fall/Winter 2011 collection, daytime and nighttime elements have been combined and used to pay homage to the classic wardrobe of the ever-chic French woman, in particular the timeless contrasts of garments sailing between masculine and feminine touches. Stretching from day to night, these multifunctional elements allow for the addition of glitter, sparkle, gold, crystals and sequins, which are applied to a range of fabrics including wool, denim and bouclé.
In the evening, feathers take flight while sparkles and sequins shimmer, blended into a carefree combination of classic and sporty elements, tinting the night with charisma and freedom.
The collection has also been given a passionate, romantic air, with lace and sheer fabrics, sometimes in glossy red, with rich textures such as angora or leather. Elegant black lines play on contrasts, in glossy/matte or black/ivory combinations, shaping a more chic and seductive silhouette. Sophistication and movement have not been neglected, hence the use of animal print patchwork or irregular polka dots with very fluid shapes.
