After the Truffle Fortnight in December, the Champs-Elysées Plaza HOTEL & WELLNESS is launching its Chocolate Show fortnight for Easter, from Friday April 15 to Sunday May 1 inclusive.
Throughout the second half of April, you can enjoy cocoa-based dishes and chocolate desserts at Keller, the Champs-Elysées Plaza restaurant, in addition to the new seasonal menu.
For starters: poached egg with truffle on a bed of tetragonia, white chocolate vinaigrette
For main courses: back of cod in a chocolate crust, leek fondue and sweet potato
For desserts: a selection from the creations of master pastry chef and chocolatier Jacques Genin (Tout chocolat or Chocolat passion cakes, Tarte au chocolat, Eclair au chocolat).
When you stay at the hotel during this period (minimum two nights), the Chocolat Show event offers a package from 590 euros per night, which includes several activities centered around chocolate, including:
– a workshop to discover the work of Jacques Genin, the palace pastry chef who has been a partner of the Champs-Elysées Plaza since its creation; at the end of the day (return transfer provided by the hotel), you’ll receive a copy of this master chocolatier’s Spécial Chocolat recipe book;
– a chocolate-based cocktail at the hotel bar, Le 35 ;
– tastings of chocolate treats throughout your stay, starting at breakfast with a delicious Champs-Elysées Plaza special edition hot chocolate.
For 15 days, the Champs-Elysées Plaza will be hosting the great chocolate show.
Just as it did at the start of the year with the Thé des Tsars ceremony, the Champs-Elysées Plaza will be staging an Easter chocolate-themed event throughout the second half of April: exclusive egg creations, created by Jacques Genin and hand-decorated as one-offs by painter Marc Asterlind exclusively for our chocolatier, will be on view in various locations around the hotel throughout the Chocolat Show fortnight.
