Swan Lake Fall-Winter 2011-2012 Collection

Christophe Guillarmé is seduced this season by a radical black-and-white graphic spirit of timeless chic p to stage a prima ballerina escaped from the Bolshoi for autumn-winter 2011-2012.
A romantic rock look inspired by Russian ballet, reminiscent of 40’s chic and a tribute to dancer Agnès Letestu.
In his quest for the absolute, the designer draws his inspiration from the drastic world of dance: the rigor and precision that characterize the discipline are found in the extreme refinement of dresses all in black lace: the same madness of perseverance leads to meticulous results on pieces entirely embroidered with satin ribbons or lines of sequins that sculpturally underline the details of the female anatomy.
A hint of shocking fuchsia and lipstick red enliven a palette combining plum, taupe and pearl gray, with a predominance of black treated in several aspects: from transparent tulle embroidered with jewels and ostrich feathers to ombré angora knit.

Combining gathered or braided jersey dresses and laser-cut lace, Christophe’s egerie dreams of being the heroine of Darren Aronofsky’s Black Swan.

Christophe Guillarmé is seduced this season with a black & white spirit clearly timeless for winter 2011-2012 focusing on a leading dancer escape from Bolshoï. A romantic style teinted with rock inspired from Russian ballets and vintage 40’s and a tribute to Agnes Letestu. In search for the absolute, the designer takes his inspiration from dance universe: In the exquisite black lace gowns there is the same fierceness requested from a dancer. An amazing amount of hours is needed on each style to recover it with satin tapes or sequined bands to emphasize women’s curves. Fuchsia pink and lipstick red touches are lighting this color range mixing taupe, pearl grey and a strong black accent in various aspects: from seethrow mesh covered with beading and ostrich feathers to “ombré” angora knit. Combinations of gathered or braided jersey dresses and lasercut exclusive lace are creating for Christophe ‘s muse a strong feeling from Darren Aronofsky movie ” Black Swan “.
