Veuve Clicquot is bringing back its Picnic event at the top of Printemps Haussmann

Some terraces offer a view. Others create a memory. With the return of Picnic by Veuve Clicquot to the 7ème Ciel terrace at Printemps Haussmann, the Champagne house has once again chosen Paris as the setting for a summery, sun-drenched, and delightfully staged celebration of the art of living. Starting May 7, 2026, the rooftop of Printemps Femme will once again be decked out in Veuve Clicquot’s signature colors, celebrating a ritual as simple as it is timeless: the picnic—transformed here by champagne, the lofty setting, and the elegance of a Parisian department store.

Located on the 7th floor of Printemps Femme, the Picnic by Veuve Clicquot experience draws on a quintessentially French vision: that of a lunch in the sun, a tablecloth spread out, and a carefully curated picnic basket—all set against a spectacular backdrop. High above the city, the panoramic view of the Paris skyline lends the concept an almost cinematic quality. You’re no longer just on a terrace; you’re in a moment of respite, a summer lookout where champagne becomes an excuse to slow down.

Here, Veuve Clicquot extends one of its most recognizable themes: a restrained joy—never ostentatious, yet resolutely festive. For several seasons now, the picnic has established itself as the ideal theme for champagne houses. It allows the bottle to be taken out of the dining room, to escape overly rigid formalities, and to reconnect with the idea of a luxury that is more mobile, more spontaneous, and more in tune with contemporary lifestyles. Veuve Clicquot adds its own signature touch: sunny yellow, a spirit of sharing, a taste for portable items, and a presentation that transforms the moment into an experience.

For the 2026 edition, the Maison is also introducing a significant new feature: the launch of a “Picnic to Go” concept. This take-away option extends the rooftop experience beyond its walls, as if the experience could leave the terrace to reach other parts of the city—a garden, a riverbank, or an impromptu getaway. This is perhaps where the concept truly shines: not just setting up a scene, but offering a way to enjoy champagne on the go.

The collaboration with Souleiado lends the collection a textile-inspired, Mediterranean flair. The collection of plates and tablecloths designed by Veuve Clicquot in collaboration with Souleiado will be available for purchase on the terrace, presented in a basket containing a bottle of Veuve Clicquot Brut Carte Jaune, glasses, and outdoor cutlery. This collaboration invites you to create your own picnic scene, with a Southern aesthetic that brings together patterns, light, and conviviality.

At the heart of the experience, two iconic cuvées define the venue’s menu: Brut Carte Jaune and Brut Rosé. Carte Jaune, Veuve Clicquot’s signature champagne, showcases its structured and balanced character. Its blend reveals aromas of white fruits and brioche, enhanced by citrus notes. It is a lively and elegant champagne, instantly recognizable, designed to pair just as well with the freshness of an outdoor terrace as with the indulgence of a summer basket of treats.

Brut Rosé, on the other hand, offers a different vibe. Its delicate color hints at aromas of red berries, subtly enhanced by spicy notes. More fruity, yet still well-structured, it fits perfectly into this season when rosé champagnes truly shine: late afternoons, skin glistening in the sunlight, and conversations that linger after lunch.

Picnic by Veuve Clicquot will be open from May 7 to September 30, 2026, seven days a week, from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Printemps Femme, Le 7ème Ciel, 7th floor. This spot has all the makings of a summer hotspot: a central location, a rare view, an iconic brand, and an experience simple enough to remain appealing yet refined enough to be memorable. Paris sometimes likes to play it safe; here, it works perfectly.

At a time when major brands are seeking to create experiences that are more immersive, more shareable, and less intimidating, Veuve Clicquot has found the picnic to be the ideal format. Champagne is moving beyond the realm of mere celebration to become part of a lifestyle. It’s no longer just about raising a toast, but about savoring the moment. And at the top of Printemps Haussmann, that moment already has a summery feel to it.
