With his Spring-Summer 2024 collection, designer Édouard Vermeulen unveils a new ode to the refined femininity so dear to Natan. Lightweight silhouettes and flowing volumes celebrate the modernity of a style that is both chic and playful.
Like a painter sublimating his canvas, Vermeulen deploys his palette of vivid colors, from signature orange to new vitamin-rich hues. Inspired by artistic gestures, he applies his colors in abstract patterns on noble materials, such as blurred brushing on cotton poplin or stretch satin. Trompe-l’œil prints also appear on pleated fabrics, revealing the visual poetry so dear to the Belgian house.
A master in the art of blending materials, the designer elegantly combines cotton, silk and viscose, bringing casual sophistication to everyday outfits. Dresses and pants structure the body with fluidity, accompanying every movement like a caress of fabric. Emblematic pieces testify to Vermeulen’s mastery of draping, such as his steamy dresses with their characteristic airy blur.
Like an art dressing room, the collection is also an ephemeral gallery. Between skilful juxtapositions of tones and flowing knits, Natan’s quirky aesthetic glides sensuously from the casual of the day to the refined femininity of the evening. Celebrating the Belgian art of living, the house reaffirms its timeless style, between assertive modernity and unfathomable elegance.
