Designer Aldo Maria Camillo gracefully evokes a deep attraction to Japanese culture and design, which, combined with the use of Japanese fabrics, has become a constant in his work.
A timeless approach

AMC’s new collection transcends genres and adapts to all morphologies. Fluidity, the sensual element of streetwear, finds its alter ego in the fine wool mohairs used for 3-button washed jackets, adorned with stonewashed silk details, and cut in a soft, elongated shape. Tailored pants, wide with 3 pleats, follow a sinuous silhouette.
Loose-fitting evening shirts, with raw-cut collars and made from very light cotton voile or silky fabrics, are worn over military-style tank tops. Classic skateboard shirts, cut in semi-transparent organza fabrics, are sewn with hand-pieces and details that belong to the tailoring tradition.
The collection uses silks, wools and linens for garments that are washed and lightly ironed, offering sensuality and a sense of eternal belonging. It recalls the folds and imperfections created by time and life. A philosophy that echoes Anna Magnani’s famous request to her make-up artist on the set of Pasolini’s Mamma Roma, when she told him, “Leave me all the wrinkles, don’t remove a single one, it took me an eternity to get them!”
