“When a loved one suffers from cancer: husband, wife, mother, father, children, brothers, sisters and friends… we are all affected. At our level, here’s how we participate in the fight against cancer.” – Ralph Lauren.

RALPH LAUREN HAS BEEN COMMITTED TO FIGHTING CANCER FOR 20 YEARS, WITH ITS PINK PONY INITIATIVE

The company presents its “More Conversations, More Love” campaign, featuring an eclectic cast of cancer survivors, patients fighting back energetically against the disease, and those involved in the fight against cancer.

For 20 years now, Ralph Lauren’s Pink Pony campaign has been one of the major programs in the fight against cancer. Launched in 2000, this international initiative has set itself the mission of reducing disparities in cancer care, while promoting the discovery of treatment and ensuring that everyone has access to quality care at an earlier, curable stage.

To mark this 20th anniversary, the “More Conversations, More Love” 360° marketing campaign spotlights a diverse and powerful panel of survivors, patients who are energetically battling the disease, and players in the fight against cancer. Describing their personal journeys, all these representatives of the fight against cancer converse about healing, hope, survival and love as a universal language . The 30 personalities from all corners of the globe include: Dr. Ibram X. Kendi, director of Boston University’s Center for Anti-Racism Research and author of How to Become an Anti-Racist, a #1 New York Times bestseller ; Ericka Hart, a non-binary black gay woman and sexuality education specialist; Maya Rockeymoore Cummings, former gubernatorial and congressional candidate in Maryland; Nalleli Cobo, environmental activist; the Dr. Elizabeth Lorde-Rollins, LGBTQ advocate; and swimmer Nathan Adrian, five-time Olympic gold medallist. Internationally, the new campaign features Chinese singer-songwriter G.E.M, Korean actress and singer Krystal Jung, Australian singer-songwriter Delta Goodrem, British writer Deborah James, the General Manager of Gustave Roussy (a French institute which is one of Europe’s leading cancer centers), Professor Jean-Charles Soria, President and Scientific Director of Deutsches Krebsforschungszentrum (German Cancer Research Center), and a number of others . Prof. Dr Michael Baumann German cancer survivor and educator Philipp Quante and his wife, award-winning Venezuelan photographer Ana Maria Arévalo Gosen.

The Pink Pony 2020 collection revisits iconic Polo Ralph Lauren pieces in original details and patterns, all in a palette of pink, navy blue, white and gray. The star of the new campaign is the love-themed T-shirt, available in 20 languages. The sale price (excluding VAT) of the light pink “Live/Love” t-shirt will be entirely donated to an international network of cancer charities, including the Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation’s Pink Pony Fund in the USA, the Royal Marsden in England, Gustave Roussy in France, Deutsches Krebsforschungszentrum (DKFZ) in Germany, and Asociación Española contra el Cáncer (AECC) in Spain (*). These associations will also receive 25% of the sale price (excluding VAT) on the other Pink Pony creations, which will be available from October 1st in selected Ralph Lauren stores worldwide, on RalphLauren.com and in selected department stores.

Committed to raising awareness and funding cancer treatment and prevention, Ralph Lauren organizes annual marketing campaigns around the world, based on special collections whose sales are donated to the Pink Pony Fund. Internally, the group also runs volunteer and fundraising programs for its teams in the United States and beyond. A forerunner among brands that have put their logos at the service of great causes, Ralph Lauren has been revisiting its polo player for decades to raise millions of dollars for charities and social programs.
