b o t h Launches Exclusive Footwear Collaboration with MONSE
NYFW FALL/WINTER 2020
The cult Parisian shoe brand both has unveiled an exclusive collaboration with New York ready-to-wear house Monse at their New York Fashion Week show. The collaboration, comprising 5 exclusive boot styles, is an ode to modern punk rebellion and pays homage to Wes Anderson’s 2009 film ‘Fantastic Mr. Fox’.
For this collaboration, Garcia and Kim have re-imagined both’s signature boot in 5 exclusive designs, including 2 models of GAO Buckle Waders as well as 3 of GAO High Boots, inspired by their Fall Winter 2020 collection entitled “Happy Punk” where tartan, velvet, deconstructed wools mix.
The collaboration uses a color palette ranging from scarlet red to olive green, white and black, an extension of the color range of the ready-to-wear collection. The both shoes feature the Monse brand logo, which seems to emerge from those distinctive soles.
The collection will be available from August 2020 in a global selection of retailers, for prices ranging from $790 for GAO high boots to $1200 for GAO waders.
