Le Meurice honors love by combining different arts
For Valentine’s Day, Le Meurice, a symbol of French elegance, offers lovers a poetic ballad. Tokyo-based artist Suitou Nakatsuka will be guest artist at this event for the second year running. This year, she draws her inspiration from the most beautiful love poems, meticulously selected by the Galignani bookshop. !
Literary art enters the palace and subtly blends with the calligraphic and culinary arts. This marriage of talent gives birth to delicate works, paintings and parchments.
From February 10 to 24, you’ll find these creations in all four corners of public spaces. This poetic itinerary culminates in the Arita porcelain plate for the Valentine’s Day dinner at Restaurant Le Dalí on February 14, during which the three arts will merge.
On offer that evening will be Royale de foie gras, Tourteau à la bergamote, Turbot with Champagne sabayon, and Veal with black truffle…all accompanied by wines from the Barons de Rothschild Champagne House, a remarkably fine wine and food pairing.
The final note will come from Cédric Grolet, who is offering his creation, “Saint-Honoré en pétale de rose” to share! This creation will also be available at the Pâtisserie du Meurice by Cédric Grolet from February 12 to 16.
At the same time, delicate cards will be available to you during the same period, inviting you to send sweet nothings to someone special. Our concierges will play the role of cupids and send them to the four corners of France or the world.
This gathering of enthusiasts offers an evening of art in a unique atmosphere, carried by the aura of Suitou Nakastuka, where “harmony and serenity” are the key words.
