ISLAY’S FARM DISTILLERY
Founded in 2005, Kilchoman is the first distillery to be built on Islay in over a century. Cradled by the sea spray of Machir Bay beach, its first single malt saw the light of day in September 2009.
Built on the model of a 19th-century “farm distillery”, Kilchoman makes a point of handcrafting a peated malt with finely saline accents. The authenticity of a distillery that has quickly established its credentials in the peaty lands
of Islay.

KILCHOMAN 100% Islay 9th Edition 50% (70cl)
Kilchoman presents the 9th edition of its legendary 100% Islay, made entirely from the 2007 and 2009 harvests of its local barley grown around the distillery. This subtly peated single malt is 20 PPM, unlike the rest of the
Kilchoman range, which is 50 PPM. A limited edition of 720 bottles for France, this 100% Islay was aged in 43 bourbon casks for 9 years before being bottled at 50%.
Nose: lemon zest, brown sugar, ripe apricots, juniper berries, herbaceous notes.
Taste: lemon tart, vanilla, maple syrup, diffused smoke, iodized peat.
Finish: long, fresh and clean.
Notes of citrus and peat smoke.

KILCHOMAN 2010 Vintage 48% (70cl).
This 9-year-old Kilchoman Vintage 2010 is blended from 42 200-litre bourbon casks and 3 500-litre Oloroso Sherry casks. A Vintage with character, combining the zesty fruitiness typical of Kilchoman with a particularly dense
peat at 50 PPM with saline and brushfire accents. Limited edition of 720 bottles for France, this single malt has been bottled at 48%.
Nose: lemon zest, buttered brioche, sweet spices, wood fire, diffuse smoke.
Palate: dried seaweed, wood fire, brown tobacco, banana, linseed oil.
Finish: dried apricots, vanilla bean, peat, round smoke.

An iconic version of Kilchoman, Machir Bay, before it was a whisky, is the name of a picturesque beach just a short walk from the distillery on the island of Islay. This single malt is a blend of whiskies aged 90% in first-fill ex-bourbon casks and 10% in Oloroso sherry casks.
Style: Smoky and elegant.
Nose: Smooth and harmonious. Cooked fruit. Peat aroma.
Palate: Full-bodied. Notes of fruit and vanilla.
Finish: Long and persistent, with notes typical of Islay whiskies.
