The curtain rises on a new luxury beachfront hotel The Emerald Palace Kempinski Dubai opens its doors

The curtain finally rises on the long-awaited Emerald Palace Kempinski Dubai, which welcomes its first guests on November 29, 2018.

The new hotel extends over 100,000 m² to the west of Palm Jumeirah, the world’s largest man-made archipelago. Ideally located, close to Dubai’s main tourist attractions, it offers panoramic views of the city’s famous skyline and the sea. Inspired by 18th-century palaces in Europe, the hotel offers discreet service, refined dining and skilfully orchestrated experiences, setting a precedent in a city that was a pioneer in the hotel industry.

“We are all very proud to celebrate the opening of the Emerald Palace Kempinski Dubai, now part of our growing portfolio of luxury hotels in the Middle East and Africa. This palatial waterfront property confirms our commitment to the upper end of the fast-growing luxury hotel market. We are convinced that Dubai is one of the most innovative tourist destinations in the Middle East,” says Henk Meyknecht, Kempinski Hotels Managing Director for the Middle East and Africa region.

The resort boasts 391 rooms, suites and villas overlooking the blue waters of the Persian Gulf, as well as a 500m² private beach. Guests will enjoy eight restaurants and bars, including Le miX, the first restaurant in the United Arab Emirates by three-starred chef Alain Ducasse, a 3,000m² Cinq Mondes spa, a fitness center, a yoga studio, a kids’ and teens’ club and Palm Jumeirah’s largest private cinema.

The Emerald Palace Kempinski Dubai is a grand and luxurious palace, where every detail has been designed to dazzle, such as the 6,400 hand-painted chandeliers in 24-carat gold leaf, the classic moldings or the color palette reminiscent of precious stones.

Inspired by 18th-century palaces, this remarkable building is faithful to neoclassical architecture, with perfect proportions and symmetry. These characteristics are reflected in the five Palladian domes, as well as in the eight columns of Rosa Portogallo marble in the main atrium, the finest Portuguese pink marble in the world.

“We are delighted to welcome the first guests to the Emerald Palace Kempinski Dubai. This palace is an architectural masterpiece that brings European expertise in design and unique experiences to the Middle East. Great attention has been paid to every detail, and materials have been selected from the finest European suppliers. With such an exceptional establishment, our priority is to offer a quality service that will exceed our guests’ expectations and provide them with memorable souvenirs,” says Sébastien Mariette, General Manager – Emerald Palace Kempinski Dubai and Kempinski Hotel and Residences Palm Jumeirah.

The finest craftsmen used the noblest materials from Italy, France and other European countries. From the grand atrium, with its chandelier encrusted with 40,000 Swarovski crystals, to a ballroom adorned with damask silk tapestries, to the Louis XIV Blüthner Supreme Edition grand piano in the spectacular Blüthner Hall, every detail has been tailor-made to reproduce the style of ancient European palaces.

Rooms at the Emerald Palace Kempinski Dubai are larger than those of most hotels on Palm Jumeirah Island, with the smallest measuring 65m². All rooms feature a sitting area, marble bathroom and large balcony with breathtaking views of the palace gardens, Arabian Gulf or Palm Lagoon. A butler service is available to guests 24 hours a day. The Royal, Presidential and Mezzanine suites are beautifully appointed with bay windows, free-standing bathtubs, spacious lounges and high ceilings. The hotel has ten Royal and Imperial villas, each with four bedrooms, a swimming pool, Jacuzzi, spa and dedicated butler to meet guests’ needs.

Guests can choose from eight restaurants, each offering a different culinary experience. Blüthner Hall offers a selection of premium teas inspired by the iconic classical composers of the 18th century. miX by Alain Ducasse, the three-star chef’s first restaurant in the United Arab Emirates and the largest in his group, will welcome its first guests on December 15. The restaurant will pay tribute to local produce and contemporary French cuisine. Located on the hotel’s sixth-floor rooftop, guests will be able to enjoy breathtaking views over Dubai. Renowned chef Chris Jaeckle developed the concepts for the other restaurants. Le Jardin will offer European-inspired cuisine, Matagi pan-Asian, while All’onda will be dedicated to Italian cuisine. Other dining options will include the Mediterranean restaurant Villamoré and the poolside or beachside Bar Sablanc; guests can enjoy a nightclub, Skorpeus, offering lounge space and live music concerts, which will open on December 10, 2018.

The 3,000 m² Cinq Mondes spa features 23 treatment rooms, two private spa suites and the city’s largest indoor pool. Adjacent to the spa, the fitness center with ultra-modern Technogym equipment is open 24 hours a day and has its own sports coaches. On the hotel’s white-sand beach, guests can enjoy a host of water sports, including stand-up paddling and introductory diving courses. An outdoor pool with a shallow children’s pool, a kids’ and teens’ club, a private cinema and an 18-hole golf course are also available to guests. A team of concierges is on hand to assist guests in organizing unique and memorable experiences.

The 612 m² Grand Salon Maximilian ballroom, inspired by ancient European palaces, is the ideal venue for weddings, events or family reunions.
