Maison Astor moves to Paris

Freshly dressed by Parisian studio March Hertrich & Nicola Adnet, Maison Astor Paris joins the new Hilton brand: Curio Collection.
This iconic Parisian establishment, steeped in history and located in the heart of Paris, between the Opéra Garnier and the Champs-Élysées, is one of the brand’s first hotels to open its doors in the capital.
” From New York to Paris with Love”: a historic House passing on its heritage.
The story begins with John Jacob Astor IV, heir to the Astor dynasty, one of the richest and most influential families in the United States. An avant-garde businessman, inventor and writer in his spare time, he remarried Madeleine, 18 years his junior, after divorcing her at the beginning of the 20th century. In order to be forgotten by New York high society, scandalized by this relationship, the young couple had no choice but to leave the city and move to Paris, where they took up residence at the Hôtel Royal Astor, rue d’Astorg, today the Maison Astor Paris.
Madeleine was pregnant, and they decided to return to the United States so that the unborn child could be born on American soil. The couple, who boarded the Titanic, met a tragic fate with the death of J.J. Astor, giving birth to the legend of Maison Astor Paris.

131 charming spaces inspired by Parisian apartments.
A perfect blend of Parisian chic and New York impertinence, the 131 apartments are all dressed in the famous Lelièvre fabric by Jean-Paul Gaultier. Guests will find all the comforts of a 4-star establishment in a warm, peaceful setting, accompanied by a “Clefs d’Or” concierge service available 24 hours a day.
The real surprise, signed Hermès, awaits us on the 7th and top floor: two 40 m² suites, each with an exceptional view of the Parisian rooftops and the monuments for which the City of Lights is famous. The perfect place to have breakfast with the Iron Lady, enjoy a cocktail with the Sacré Coeur, while being watched by the Grand Palais.

Gastronomy in the spotlight: the Salle à Manger and the Club, or the art of French living.
The Salle à Manger, with its sublime glass roof immersing the room in a halo of light, led by Chef Nicolas Clavier, offers seasonal cuisine based on organic produce, taking guests on a journey from New York to Paris. Pleasure and conviviality are its two watchwords.
The Club transforms itself throughout the day, from a breakfast area to a tea room offering delicious pastries; at nightfall, it becomes a speakeasy bar harking back to the days of Prohibition.

The Bibliothèque Kitty and the Cabinet de Voyage: confidential meeting and event spaces.
Always in the Maison spirit: the Bibliothèque Kitty and the Cabinet de Voyage host exclusive, confidential events by the fireplace in a warm, cosy atmosphere.

Much more than a hotel, Maison Astor Paris is a place where guests are welcomed by exceptional hosts to share a heritage, a state of mind, but above all a warm moment where luxury rhymes with conviviality.

An exceptional experience…
