Château de La Rivière Rosé 2017: fruity elegance that the sun makes shine

Drawing on all the expertise of Château de La Rivière, this cuvée derives its finesse and elegance from the blend of two great Bordeaux grape varieties, Merlot (75%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (25%), from selected plots. Charming in its rose petal color, it puts gourmet seduction first!

Château de La Rivière’s 65 hectares of vines are planted on ideally exposed hillsides, on clay-limestone soils that Merlot particularly appreciates. After precision harvesting, carried out on plots specifically reserved for the production of this rosé, the destemmed bunches are cold-pressed and the clear juice immediately fermented at low temperature (16°C). This is followed by a 3-month ageing period in stainless steel vats, which enhances the aromatic finesse of this Bordeaux rosé produced in 16,000 bottles.
Tasting
This rosé de pressée has a very clear, almost transparent color, with soft pink nuances, and seduces with its delicate scents of exotic fruit (pineapple), citrus (tangerine, pink grapefruit) and white peach, as well as notes of rose and violet. An aromatic harmony that’s a pleasure to find in a fine, round and balanced palate, fresh and lively.
Pairings
Perfect as an aperitif with fine charcuterie, salmon rillettes, crudités/anchoïade, this cuvée is also a delicate match for calamari a la plancha, grilled white meat and fish, Provençal stuffing, not forgetting sushi for connoisseurs or a summer fruit dessert.
Château de la Rivière Bordeaux Rosé 2017 is on sale for €10 at the best wine merchants.
