This year, London-based jeweler David Morris enriches his iconic Illusion collection. With an original setting and a new way of thinking about jewelry, this collection shatters traditional jewelry codes.
As its name suggests, the Illusion collection is a talented transformation of reality. Constructed like a play of light, it makes shapes reflect into each other, each one shining brighter thanks to the brilliance of its surroundings, while creating symmetrical patterns and the illusion of large stones.
Creativity has always been the beating heart of every piece of jewelry from the British house, and the Illusion collection is no exception. In its New Bond Street workshops, David Morris craftsmen set diamonds in a variety of shapes, placing and setting them with skill to create a collection of astonishing beauty.
Taking on the appearance of a diamond, each motif is in reality a meticulous assembly of smaller stones that multiply the refraction of the diamond’s natural light, playing with the brilliance, creating even more sparkle and fire from the stone. The common thread ofIllusion, this motif is a marquise shape, like a generous calisson composed of a meticulous selection of smaller diamonds cut in pear, round, princess or marquise shapes.
The expanded collection now includes 4 new pieces in white gold. A 13.74 ct knotted necklace, with a sensual central drop. Cascade earrings, 10.25cts, featuring 3 nets of tassels. A 16.89ct bracelet with 3 lines of motifs, suggesting a large bracelet. And finally, a 3.31ct ring with 9 marquise motifs, price on request.
