“Head in the clouds” is a metaphor that Julie Paskal translates in her SS18 collection.
It’s an extension of her own character, of the special moment when she evokes her inner child and steps away from the outside world to create. Clouds become the main shape of the collection. The fabrics are laser-cut, and the shapes of the garments are reminiscent of clouds. The collection’s color palette is inspired by shades of sky: turquoise, green, pink sunset and white are replaced by black and midnight blue. A range of fabrics have different weights to bring a particular narrative to the collection – layers of weightless neoprene mesh with soft cottons gravitate to heavy technical crepe.
The PASKAL SS18 collection evolves into a mature ready-to-wear creation born of precision tailoring and meticulous laser cutting.
