A limited edition “Louis d’Or”
for the 180th anniversary of the Maison de Venoge

To celebrate its 180th anniversary, the Maison de Champagne de Venoge is releasing a precious special cuvée, Louis d’Or, made in 1996. With its bottle entirely adorned in gold, this ultra-limited edition of the famous Louis XV cuvée is a pure marvel, full of grace and elegance that will be appreciated by the privileged few who have the pleasure of tasting it. Only 1837 bottles are available.

The House’s prestige cuvee, Louis XV, pays tribute to the father of Champagne. In fact, it was King Louis XV who, by authorizing the marketing and transport of bottled Champagne in 1728, gave birth to Champagne. A myth was born. For each Grand Millésime, Maison de Venoge releases a Louis XV cuvée, housed in a precious decanter, as a tribute to the Great King.

This year, to celebrate this special anniversary, the Louis XV becomes Louis d’Or, and the decanter takes on a dazzling golden color. Produced from an exceptional vintage – 1996 – this cuvée is made exclusively from Grands Crus, and offers a perfect balance between Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
The color is sumptuous, with magnificent flashes of golden yellow. The nose is subtle, voluptuous and unique. Louis d’Or’s complex palate reveals a paradox of aromas both fine and intense, fresh and evolved. Its infinite length on the palate is the signature of an exceptional Champagne.

In an ultra-limited edition, presented in a precious blue and gold box in the colors of King Louis XV and the Maison de Venoge, Cuvée Louis d’Or will be available from early November from Cavistes and at Champagne Bar de Venoge, l’Écurie. This year, the House inaugurated a 4-room hotel and apartment, “Les Suites du 33”, as well as a Champagne Bar, “l’Ecurie”, within its magnificent Hôtel Particulier avenue de Champagne in Epernay.
