Ode to Tokyo: Raf Simons launches a limited edition sweater
with The Woolmark Company
Designer Raf Simons has created a limited-edition sweater in 100% merino wool, available exclusively at Ginza Dover Street Market in Tokyo, Japan.
The project is part of the partnership forged earlier this year between the designer and The Woolmark Company. It is also an ode to Raf Simons’ love of the Japanese capital.
“It seemed natural to me to celebrate our collaboration by creating an I Love Tokyo wool sweater exclusively for the Dover Street Market Ginza store, as a nod to the Fall-Winter 17/18 New York fashion show and the beginning of our partnership,” explains Raf Simons.
Knitted from luxurious Italian-spun wool, the limited-edition oversized sweater is embellished on the front with the inscription I Love Tokyo in Japanese.
The Woolmark Company teamed up with the Belgian designer earlier this year for his Automme-Winter 2017/18 collection, marking the start of a long and close collaboration, notably with Raf Simons’ creative team, in the development and sourcing of merino wool.

Certified Woolmark, Raf Simons’ Tokyo sweater was presented on November 30 at Dover Street Market Ginza .
