Crisscrossing the mountains of St. Moritz, Aspen and Banff, the Dsquared2 ski collection brings glamorous style to the chicest ski clubs and slopes. Retro silhouettes, bold, sporty colors and modern performance details define the Dsquared2 Ski 2017 collection. Elegant and sporty, vintage-inspired shapes meet technical details that always prioritize practical function. Fashioned with the Dsquared2 signature, the men’s and women’s pieces are designed for snowboarders, skiers or even those who prefer post-piste moments.
Dsquared2 style is present in iconic cuts and fabrics. Dsquared2 runway inspiration is blended with high-performance fabrics, including long parkas or oversized jumpsuits, detailed with thermal pockets and zippers. Coats and pants are crafted from ultra-light thermal textiles that retain warmth at extremely low temperatures and also protect from the elements. The collection reveals an influence of English “Mod” culture with black and white checkerboards mixed with hints of red. Dsquared2 has created a jacket for both men and women with a mix of fabrics and the emblem of the brand’s Canadian heritage: red and black checks, travel-style embroidery and denim. For the mixed approach, Dsquared2 created a micro floral print appearing on a bustier-style jumpsuit for women and an oversized parka for men.
Long, tailored pants are made from two designs for women: faded, frayed jeans flared at the ankle to protect against cold and snow, or retro, tailored high-waisted leggings with a mid-leg seam and waterproof pockets. Men’s denim ski pants, perfect for withstanding the cold and wet, are either slim-fit or flared.
Colors of gray, blue, yellow and red reference the Royal Canadian Mountain Police with sweaters, for both men and women, featuring graphic stripe patterns. Vintage-style ski pieces illustrated with jacquard patterns are short or high-collared. Ski looks are influenced by streetwear for men, with a fine knit jacket and shorts in streamlined stripes. Neoprene jackets with white graphic patterns are designed to be worn under a ski coat in the mountains during the day, and then transformed into sporty evening wear.
