A collaboration between Maison Kitsuné and Heeley Parfums – an eclectic electro-pop mix set to a rhythm of multi-cultural notes. The result? An irresistible unisex fragrance.
Note de Yuzu is the first Eau de Parfum from Maison Kitsuné. Founded in Paris in 2002 by the Franco-Japanese duo of Gildas Loaëc, ex-manager of French electro duo Daft Punk, and Masaya Kuroki, a young architect, the brand continues to expand its international in uence, expressing its unique Art de Vivre through fashion, music and Café Kitsuné.
Paris-based English perfumer James Heeley began working with Maison Kitsuné to create its line of scented candles (Mint, Moss, Sésame noir). Seventeen fragrances make up the Heeley collection, distributed worldwide since 2006.
Note de Yuzu is first and foremost the sparkling energy of Japanese yuzu zest! James Heeley has sought out the fruity freshness
of this citrus fruit to express Maison Kitsuné’s own bright, colorful dynamic. The meeting of English, French and Japanese influences has created an explosive fragrance that boys and girls from Paris to Tokyo will find hard to resist.
The immediate freshness develops on an aquatic note to reveal the sensuality of salt on the skin, a reminiscence of the Japanese tradition of yuzu baths. While in Europe, citrus scents are often associated with summer, in Japan, yuzu is synonymous with winter. It’s at the winter solstice, Toji, that yuzu oozes into hot baths, releasing its beneficial, relaxing aromas.
