The Shangri-La Hotel, Paris is delighted to announce the reopening of its La 8 Iéna terrace, with a 100% green menu designed by Michelin-starred Chef Christophe Moret.

Located in the hotel’s forecourt, this pretty, green and sunny terrace delights Parisians every year who want to indulge in a moment of relaxation out of sight. New for 2017 is Chef Christophe Moret’s 100% plant-based menu. Guests will be able to find the best of the vegetable garden on their plates, and discover tasty dishes such as Velouté de petits pois glacés, chamallow menthe, Fougasse “riviera” garnished with artichokes poivrade, gros violet and black olives, served with a salad of fevettes, diced cucumber, fresh tomatoes, avocado, coriander, parsley and arugula, or Riso La Renta with pan-fried cherry tomatoes from Ferme des Cailloux, tomato juice, citron and red onions. For those with a sweet tooth, a cart of homemade vegan ice creams and sorbets awaits them in the shade of the parasol, along with delicious desserts from Pastry Chef Michaël Bartocetti, such as the Jasmine Pavlova with citrus meringue, jasmine tea-scented cream and strawberry granita, or the Coconut/Vanilla Rice Pudding. And let’s not forget the unmissable 100% Vegan Afternoon Tea, offered every afternoon with exclusive creations for this summer.

To accompany these natural delights, Head Sommelier Matthias Meynard has chosen biodynamic wines. Unroasted, fair-trade, hand-harvested teas, coffees and chocolates will also be on offer, as well as organic fruit juices, homemade iced teas, gluten-free beers, and the famous “Chi drinks”, innovative and beneficial beverages inspired by the Chinese philosophy of “Chi”, guaranteeing harmony of body and mind. Last but not least, cocktails by Chef Barman Clément Emery will complete this green experience, with fresh and daring creations paying tribute to the passion for botany of Prince Bonaparte, the former owner of the premises. Whether you’re feeling peckish in the middle of the day or craving something more substantial, there’s something for everyone at La 8 Iéna, a veritable green bubble where you can fill up on energy all summer long.
