Located on the heights of Saint-Emilion, Château de Ferrand is certainly one of the oldest estates in the appellation. This 42-hectare estate, which dates back to the 17th century, boasts an exceptional site overlooking the Dordogne valley and a unique terroir.
Le Différent, Château de Ferrand’s second wine, was created in 2007. Made from the same terroirs as its predecessor, it benefits from the same exacting standards throughout the winemaking process. It can be enjoyed young, and its finesse and aromatic elegance make it a pleasant wine to drink on any occasion.
Le Différent 2014 is a blend of 90% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 6% Cabernet-Sauvignon.
Le Différent 2014 reveals a crimson color with beautiful intensity. Its flattering nose quickly reveals aromas of black fruits and toasted spices, as well as floral notes. The palate is faithful to the pleasure felt on the nose. Freshness adds elegance to the generous, gourmet body. Fine tannins give a balanced structure. Le Différent 2014 is the perfect expression of this characterful vintage. Le Différent 2014 was awarded the Gold Medal at the Concours de Bordeaux Vins d’Aquitaine 2016.
Le Différent 2014 is available from wine merchants at a retail price of around €17-19.
