Since 1923, in Chablis, Burgundy, the meticulous work of the Vignerons Associés under the banner of La Chablisienne has given birth to wines that time has never ceased to magnify. In 2003, La Chablisienne had the honor of acquiring the mythical Domaine de Château Grenouilles. Since then, a great deal of work has gone into reviving this legendary cru.

Located in the heart of the Grands Crus hillside, at the foot of the Grenouilles hillside, the 7.2-hectare Château Grenouilles estate, which covers almost the entire 9.4-hectare climat, benefits from a terroir that synthesizes the diverse personalities of the Grands Crus of Chablis. The estate is ideally situated on the right bank of the Serein, facing south-west.
Exclusively Chardonnay, the vines are planted on Middle and Upper Kimmeridgian soils, alternating limestone and marl with Exogyra virgula. The average age of the plots is 40 years. From the vine to the bottle, this grand cru is the object of every attention. Vinification involves cold static settling before fermentation. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation take place in barrels and vats, and the wine is aged on fine lees in small vats and oak barrels for 20 months. Everything is done to express the exceptional personality of this wine.
Château Grenouille 2011 is distinguished by a nose that expresses finesse and power. The complexity of this exceptional terroir begins to reveal itself with marine, citrus and mineral notes. The palate combines power and balance. The attack is straightforward, with a beautiful roundness and acidity that give this wine remarkable length. The finish reveals a wide range of aromas. A decanting will allow this Château Grenouille to express itself fully. Ideal as an aperitif or with dishes such as foie gras, lobster or langoustine.
CHATEAU GRENOUILLE 2011 IS ON SALE AT AN AVERAGE PRICE OF 50 EUROS AT ALL GOOD WINE MERCHANTS.
