Founded in 2012 by Laurent and Xavier Valembert, Ateliers Auguste opens a new space at 8, rue de Turenne in Paris on Friday, May 20, 2016.
The 85m2 volume, spread over 2 levels, features all the codes dear to the designers. Here, we mix classic with industrial, wood with metal and grey with orange. The light wood is often painted and the metal structures are intertwined to create displays. No interior designer, everything is home made. Each piece of furniture is handcrafted by Laurent or made by Xavier. On the first floor, a large space of 50m2 is dedicated to the sale. On the left, home-made modules are intended to accommodate the bags. On the right, a large anthracite background on which old coat hooks will be fixed to present other models. A few more steps and we find ourselves facing the bar of an American kitchen, where sharing a coffee with the designers is de rigueur!
Then our gaze drifts to the back of the shop, where we make out an industrial staircase painted the famous orange found on the inside pockets of bags.
Upstairs, we discover a 30m2 Haussmann apartment. Herringbone parquet flooring, moldings and Prussian fireplaces make this space a real showcase. Dedicated to the reception of exceptional clients, shootings, special orders or after-sales service, the floor of the new Ateliers Auguste shop brings together all the spirit of Parisian chic for an ever more personalized service.
