Since 1923, in Chablis, Burgundy, the meticulous work of the winegrowers associated with La Chablisienne has given birth to wines that time has never ceased to magnify.
Halfway between Paris and Beaune, Chablis is the golden gateway to winegrowing Burgundy. The 6,800 hectare vineyard, spread out on both sides of the river “le Serein”, extends over 20 villages. Of the 4,700 ha planted, La Chablisienne alone represents nearly 25% of the vineyard. La Chablisienne brings together nearly 300 associated winemakers.
Over the years and around the world, its white wines, made from the Chardonnay grape, have acquired an extraordinary reputation. The wines reflect the quality of the care taken by the winemakers in the cultivation of their vines and the passionate work of the winemakers in charge of giving them a soul. It is a subtle agreement between wine growers, technicians and winemakers that gives the wines this sought-after distinction.
The Chablis terroir brings freshness, minerality, finesse and complexity to the wines. Depending on the different vintages, it can be enjoyed young, one to three years, with a thirst-quenching freshness, or between three and eight years for the vintages from old vines which are characterized by more complexity, minerality and aromatic richness.
The 2013 Chablis La Sereine is distinguished by its pale yellow, clear and brilliant color. Its nose is, at first, discreet and reveals notes of white fruits slightly spicy. Then the density becomes more important with a beautiful mineral nuance of flint. The palate is tactile and silky with a beautiful unfolding mixing richness, purity of fruit, mineral tension and with an elegant citrus zest. The finish is long.
The Sereine 2013 is on sale for 11,90 euros TTC
